Jean Ellen Stidham

Jean Ellen Stidham (nee Gottschall), passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Chesterwood Village, West Chester, Ohio, at the age of 93.  She was born Tuesday, February 18, 1929 in Dayton, Ohio to Watson I. and Inez M. (nee Snyder) Gottschall.

Jean was a graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton, Ohio.  At the young age of 21, she married Forrest Stidham on Friday, April 28, 1950.  As the family grew, Jean discovered she was quite the accomplished seamstress.  She made curtains and many of the clothes for the family including suits for Forrest and matching dresses for the girls.  With a large garden, Jean grew lots of vegetables and fruits feeding her family all year long.  Jean was a devoted Christian, wife and mother who adored her grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by: parents, Watson and Inez Gottschall; brother and sister-in-law, Richard L. Gottschall and Joyce A. (nee McCallister) Gottschall.

Jean is survived by: husband of 71 years, Forrest Stidham; daughters, Sheryl Pugh and Debra (Barry) Worrell; and grandchildren, Brett Worrell and Kelli Worrell.

Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM with Dr. Lee Mason officiating at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 .  Interment will follow at Medway Cemetery, Medway, Ohio.
