Jeannette Bentley

Jeannette Bentley (nee Black), of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the age of 82.  She was born Monday, September 30, 1940 in Corbin, Kentucky to Elijah William and Phoebe (nee Lee) Black.

Growing up in Gray, Kentucky, Jeannette was an amazing cook.  With a Southern touch, nobody could make soup beans, corn bread, or chocolate gravy like she did.  Jeannette had a strong faith, raising her family in Christ's Church.  A sports fan, Jeannette enjoyed watching her Cincinnati Reds and University of Cincinnati Bearcats.

Jeannette was preceded in death by: parents, Elijah and Phoebe Black; husband, Benjamin "Bee" Bentley; and grandson, Benjamin Bentley.

Jeannette is survived by: children, Jeff (Erin) Bentley, Jamie (Steve) Steinhauer, and Jerry (Julie) Bentley; grandchildren, Faith Bentley, Laura (Chuck Hagedorn) Mercier, Hannah Steinhauer, Jacob Steinhauer, Caroline Bentley, and Emily Bentley; great-grandchildren, Isaac Hagedorn, Olivia Miick, and Elijah Miick; brother, Bill (Sue) Black; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd., Mason, OH 45040. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
