Jerry B Hinds

Jerry B. Hinds, 94, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She was born on November 23, 1928, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Arthur and Lillian Elizabeth (nee Cowell) Barnes.

Jerry was raised in Michigan where she graduated in 1950 from the University of Michigan, was active with the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and cheered for the University’s football team.

In her earlier years she enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and spending time outdoors working in her yard.

Jerry was a kind and caring mother and grandmother. She deeply loved her family and friends. Her sharp sense of humor and candid outlook will be sorely missed.

Preceded in death by her husband, James Willard Hinds, her parents Arthur and Lillian Barnes, daughter, Tari Lee McGowan, and her brother, Arthur Byron Barnes.

Jerry is survived by her beloved daughter, Jill Koch, four grandchildren, Stephen Koch, Sara Koch, Jenna McGowan, and Kristy Honsowetz (Alyssa).

The family will have a celebration in Jerry’s memory at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Jerry's name to Hospice of Southwest Ohio, Joe Burrow Foundation, Reach Out Lakota, or any charity of your choice.
