Their home was filled with fun and laughter as they welcomed four children and seventeen grandchildren. An avid reader, Jerry could get lost for hours in a book about World War II. With a love for government, Jerry proudly coordinated his post's Boys and Girls State for years for Lakota, Princeton, and local homeschool students.. He also continued his love of the military being an active member of the American Legion Post 681.
