Jewel Rison

Jewel Elaine (nee Hofer) Rison , 69 of Maineville, passed away on August 30, 2023. Born to Harry and Lucille (nee Banks) Hofer on October 24, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jewel was a people person. She had a joyful smile, a warm and kind heart and she was the person who could make you laugh all the time. She had a way with people. She was personable and enjoyed getting to know the real you.

Jewel had a passion for scrapbooking and documenting all the major events in the lives of her children and grandchildren, which were her pride and joy.

Selfless, dependable, empathic, and kind were only a few of the best words to describe Jewel.

Preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lucille Hofer and her loving husband, Norman Rison.

Jewel is survived by her children, Valerie (Christopher) Caranfa and Kevin (Stefanie) Grubb, grandchildren, Holly, Joseph and Anthony Caranfa and Connor and Chloe Grubb, one sister, three brothers and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10th from 11:00-12:30pm with a reception to follow at 12:30pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040.

Memorial donations may be made in Jewel’s name to the Hospice of Cincinnati or The American Cancer Society.
