Joan Orlett

Joan Orlett, 92 of West Chester Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday July, 27 2023. Joan was born on Thursday, May 7, 1931 to Russel and Anna (nee Brenner) Fox in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jo was married to her beloved Bill for 55 years, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her father, Russell Fox and mother, Anna Brenner Fox, sisters, Janet and Joyce and brother, Jack.

She is survived by her children Barbara (Gerry) Hammer, Daniel (Sheryll) Orlett and Gregory (Sandra) Orlett, grandchildren Leslie (Kevin) Luck, Joan Amaratti, Joshua Orlett, Jackalyn Orlett, Emma Lee Orlett and Trevor Orlett and a great grandson Evan Prusha.

Jo loved to spend time with family and friends and believed that life should be fun.  She loved to dance, golf, travel and play cards.  She volunteered for hospice both in Cincinnati and in Florida, often donating her knitting and crocheting projects.  She enjoyed visiting the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens and admired the wonderful work they do. And she loved dogs.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3rd from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a reception to follow at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jo's name to Hospice of Southwest Ohio , or to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens .
