Joseph W. Tepe, of Mason, Ohio, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer since 2016 on July 12, 2022 at the young age of 47.  He was born April 18, 1975 in Cincinnati, Ohio to James and Janice (nee McCabe) Tepe.

A born woodworker, Joe has created many treasures over the years with his latest gift to others being coasters with Bible verses on them.  He loved attending Grace Baptist Church where he created many cherished friendships.  Often described as a "hobby jumper", Joe earned many nicknames over the years.  He had a collection of hats that most would envy giving him the obvious name of Hat Guy.  Joe loved the study and practice of Tae Kwon Dao, earning his second degree blackbelt.

Family was first and foremost in Joe's world.  He treasured every opportunity to create memories, especially if it involved camping with family and friends.  Joe will be forever loved and cherished.

Joe was preceded in death by: father-in-law, Frank Heimann, Jr.

Joe is survived by: wife, Amy (nee Heimann) Tepe; children, Alyssa Tepe, Rachel Tepe, Nicole (Tanner Brarens) Tepe, Zachary Tepe, and Samantha Tepe; parents, James and Janice Tepe; mother-in-law, Patricia Heimann; siblings, Jim (Janey) Tepe, John (Cheri) Tepe, Jeff (Anne) Tepe, Jerry (Wendy) Tepe; and many loving family members and friends including, John and Maria LaGory, Rodney and Kim Boone, and Bill and Jen Dodds.

Visitation Sunday, July 17, 2022, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Funeral Service Monday, July 18, 2022, 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Pelfrey officiating.  Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Ohio.
