John (JC) Allgaier, 75, passed away in Liberty Twp, OH on January 31, 2023. John was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 2, 1947, where he was immersed in his family’s legacy of hospitality as owners of the renowned Omaha Athletic Club.
His career in regional sales ultimately brought him to Cincinnati and eventually led him to starting his own company, Commercial Carpet Systems. Falling back on his passion for the restaurant business, he opened Christopher’s Polo Club in West Chester in the 1980’s and subsequently Jag’s Steak and Seafood in 2003, which he ran until his retirement.
He was an avid golfer and long-time member of Wetherington Country Club in West Chester Ohio and had a lifelong love of sports, especially his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers football team.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack C Jr. and Marjorie (Summers) Allgaier.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna (Walsh) Allgaier, his three children: John H (Krisi) Allgaier of Mountain Center, California; Julie (David) Kenline of Lebanon, Ohio; and Robin (David) Glace-Vibbard of Liberty Township, Ohio. He also leaves his grandchildren: Madison Allgaier, Ian Allgaier, Whitney Kenline, Tori Kenline, Ava Glace-Vibbard, and Zoey Vibbard; sisters Marilyn (Edmund) Walker and Dianne (Gary) Anderson, as well as his treasured nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040 on Sunday, February 5th at 2:00 PM.
