John Cataline

John Frederick Cataline, 91 of Montgomery, passed away on October 10, 2022. Born to Joseph and Josephine (nee Barone) Cataline on December 4, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

John worked as an engineer for GE for over 40 years. He was a devoted Catholic who spent numerous volunteer hours in the church. He volunteered at Bethesda North Hospital and for the Republican Party.

John was proud of his Italian heritage and made it very well known. He had a magnetic personality, extremely social and truly enjoyed getting to know people.

He had a passion for travel and spent countless trips traveling the world. An avid golfer in his free time, but a family man through and through.

Preceded in death by his parents, his son, John Cataline Jr, his first wife Joan Cataline (nee Burwinkel), grandchildren, John Cataline and Shannon Farmer and his sister, Angela Orth.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Janet Cataline, four children, Margaret (Peter) Merrill, Julie (Doug) Rogers, Joyce Cataline and Kelly (Mike) Cataline-George, three stepchildren, Chad (Jenny) Flaig, Marcia Flaig and Brad (Julie) Flaig, thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17 ^th from 11:00AM-12 NOON with a Mass of Christian burial at 12 NOON all at Good Shepherd Community Church, 8815 E Kemper Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Parkinson Foundation.
