Johnny Ray Glisson

Johnny R. Glisson , of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at the age of 56.  He was born October 5, 1964 in Covington, KY to Sherman Otis and Joyce Ethel (nee Callahan) Glisson.

Johnny, also known as Johnny RPM, had a passion for drag racing.  He raced at Edgewater, Thorn Hill, Florence Speedway, Bush Creek, Mudlick, Lawrenceburg Speedway and many others.  Johnny enjoyed riding his motorcycle as well.  Nothing brought a smile to his face quite like his grandbabies, giving each one a special nickname.

He will be forever loved and cherished by those that knew him.

Johnny was preceded in death by: his parents, Sherman and Joyce Glisson; and brothers, Larry Glisson and Mike Glisson.

Johnny is survived by: wife, Sara E. 'Candie' (nee Perkins) Glisson; children, Shane Perkins, Jonathan (Abby) Perkins, Crystal (Shawn Cremeans) Perkins, Sabrina (Theo Leonard) Perkins, and Lori (Mike Donaldson) Bailey; grandchildren, Jonathan Ray "Boo Boo" Perkins, Bryson N. "Scrappy" Perkins, Raylynn "Squirt" Perkins, and Charlie "Pearly Girl" Perkins; brother, Chad Glisson; mother-in-law, Wanda Perkins; brother-in-law, Tom (Kim) Perkins; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Funeral Service will immediately follow at 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be directed to Mueller Funeral Home to help the family cover the costs.
