Julane A. Frohlich Simpson (nee Kirtley), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born Sunday, February 9, 1936 in Covington, Kentucky to Dr. William Howard and Alberta (nee Otten) Kirtley.
Julane had a strong faith which sustained her through life's challenges and manifested in her deep empathy and love for her family and friends. She was known as a trusted confidant and for her compassion, always seeing the good in everyone. With a heart for nature, she loved working in her garden and watching the birds. A nurse with the Northern Kentucky Health Department, heading up the aids task force in the 1980's, Julane also volunteered many hours at the Hope Cottage in Latonia. Julane has left a lasting touch on many lives; she will be forever loved.
Julane was preceded in death by: parents, Dr. William Howard and Alberta Kirtley; grandson, Nicholas E. Frohlich; brother, Howard C. "Jimmy" Kirtley; sister-in-law, Joyce Kirtley, and sister-in-law, Cathleen Kirtley.
Julane is survived by: children, Nicholas (Malissa) Frohlich, Jr., Theresa (Dean) Newman, and Daniel Frohlich; grandchildren, Nicholas Frohlich, III, Alexander Frohlich, Maria (Renato Tokuda De Faria) Frohlich, Anthony Frohlich, Grace (Clint) Corwin, Omolayo Olamilekan, Amanda (Steven) Hite, Evan Hughes, Anna Frohlich, Eric Frohlich, and Arthur Frohlich; great-grandchildren, Tevin Hite, Levi Hite, Daevis Hite, Braedan Hughes, Bently Hughes, Cameron Hughes, and Graysen Hughes; siblings, Judy (JB) Schmidt and Jerry Kirtley; and many loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024 10:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Interment will be in Mother of God Cemetery, 3125 Madison Avenue, Latonia, KY 41015.
