Karla Ann (nee Slover) Sargent , 61 of Cincinnati, passed away on October 5, 2022. Karla was born to J.W. and Delores Ann Slover on August 16, 1961, in Olney, Illinois.

She grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a graduate of Northwest High School and the University of Cincinnati. She was an active member of the Chi Omega Sorority where she made many lifelong friends. She continued her relationships with friends from childhood, high school and college throughout her life. She was a loyal and devoted friend who always took time to be with others, especially when they were going through difficult times.

Karla’s star role in life was being a mother. She took pride in raising her two young men and was a “Momma Bear” through and through. She always had a listening ear and was present in every aspect of their lives.

Karla enjoyed traveling, trying out new restaurants or going to the casino with friends, and playing games with her family. She was always ready to join in, whether it was a friendly game of cards, bingo or Mexican train dominoes. She and her family loved watching old movies and baking special Christmas treats together. Karla and her family enjoyed a friendly banter and joked around with one another, which was just part of what made their relationships so special.

She had a friendly smile, a quick wit, and a naturally beautiful presence. Karla was a devoted mother, a wonderful sister and a fun aunt. She was so loved and will be missed by so many.
