Kathleen "Kay" Mary Coburn

Kathleen “Kay” Coburn, age 79, passed away peacefully, and on her terms, the early morning of March 27, 2024.  She was born to the late Richard J and Lorraine (Staubach) Ryan, on March 6, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Kay is survived by her children Susan (Dan) Niehaus, Sharon (Bill) Mechley, and Craig (Kendra) Coburn; grandchildren Nicole, Jill (Michael), Nathan, Austin, Robby, Amy, Kyle, Alex, and Cameron; seven great grandchildren; siblings Margie Shields, Eileen Ryan and Mary Ann Wiehe.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard Coburn, and her brothers Richard Ryan and Patrick Ryan.  Kay was a volunteer for over 25 years at Hospice of Blue Ash.  In addition to her family and great friends, she leaves behind many other friends and caretakers at Mason Christian Village (too many to acknowledge) who loved and cared for her.  Kay quickly made new great friends after moving to Mason Christian Village almost three years ago, with her favorite activities of daily “coffee and chat” and her “chair volleyball” being her passion.   A visitation will take place at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 10:00am-11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am.  Procession to the cemetery will immediately follow for entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of Mueller Funeral Home.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at muellerfunerals.com.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Susanna in memory of Kay.
