Kenneth Joseph Brill of Mason, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Hospice of Cincinnati-Blue Ash. He was born Monday, November 6, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Joseph Alexander and Marcella Elizabeth (nee Steiner) Brill.
On Saturday, October 13, 1962, Ken married his sweetheart, Bonnie Jean Bachler, in St. Gertrude Church, Madeira, Ohio. Together, they would build a lifetime of memories with their four children.
Ken was a modest and compassionate man who rarely spoke of his accomplishments. Valedictorian of Madeira High School class of 1957, Kenneth earned a Scholarship from R.K. LeBlond Machine Tool Company to attend the University of Cincinnati. He would go on to earn his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Ken retired in 2003 from LeBlond-Makino after 46 years of dedicated service. He then enjoyed his leisure time working on his house and yard from dawn to dusk. Ken also had a fondness for gardening, golfing, music (Elvis Presley, Rosemary Clooney and a host of others); he shared many interests with Bonnie such as bowling, Scouting and square dancing.
Kenneth was preceded in death by: parents, Joseph and Marcella Brill; and wife of almost 57 years, Bonnie Jean Brill.
Kenneth is survived by: son, Kevin (Angela) Brill; daughters, Karen (Thomas) Bakken, Kathleen (Joshua Myrice) Brill and Kelly (Michael "Shane") Mitchell; grandchildren, Alexander "AJ" Brill, Alicia Brill, Lilyann Myrice, Philip Myrice, Tyler Myrice, Noah Mitchell, Madeline "Maddie" Mitchell, Katherine "Katie" (Peter) Tenkman and Kelly (Nicholas) Todd; great-grandson, Cooper Tenkman; brother, Gary (Beverly) Brill; and a host of loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
