Kenneth Edward Stephens, Sr., age 86, long-time resident of West Chester, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Barrington of West Chester. He was born Saturday, August 19, 1933 in Revelo, Kentucky to Hurstle and Truey (nee Trammel) Stephens.

Honorably discharged from the United States Army, Ken valued hard work and honesty. In fact, he earned a great deal of respect in the real estate industry because of his desire and tenacity to serve his clients, always looking out for their best interest. A NASCAR fan that is also known for his love of Ford, Ken owns a classic 2003 red Thunderbird with less than 1000 miles. Needless to say, very few family members have gone for a ride, let alone been allowed to touch his baby. For years, Ken was active with the Mason First Church of God and always had an appreciation for old time gospel singing. When given the chance, Ken looked forward to camping and fishing.

Ken was preceded in death by: parents, Hurstle and Truey Stephens; wife, June (nee Shoopman) Stephens; and sisters, Bernice Hamlin and Norma Baxter.

Ken is survived by: children, Kenneth Edward (Sheila) Stephens, Jr., Donald (Lynn) Stephens, Kathryn (Stephen) Diebold and Lori (Mark) Stolz; grandchildren, Jim (Emmy) Stephens, Andy Stephens, Sara (Jon) Moore, Ben Reinert, Melissa (Max) Turning, Stefanie (Tim) Potter, Kristi (Joel) Boehnlein; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Violet, Calvin, Maggie, Dean, Henry, Dylan, Maddy, Max Jr., Delilah and Hadley; siblings, Ann Shoopman, Glen Stephens, Barbara Meadows, Doyle Stephens, Dale Stephens and Ron Stephens; many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Funeral Service will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM with his brother, Rev. Ronald Stephens officiating followed by military honors at Mueller Funeral Home. Interment will be Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Liberty Township, Ohio with a graveside service at 1:30 PM.
