Laurie Burton

Laurie C. Burton (nee Cottrill) of Mason, OH passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the age of 67. She was born in Cincinnati, OH to Wendell and Luella Cottrill. After growing up in upstate New York, she lived in several places across the eastern United States before settling in Lebanon, NH where she lived for 26 years and raised her family.

Laurie was a devoted Christian with a warm and welcoming faith. She loved reading and studying the Bible in her alone times and with her small Bible study groups. She prayed faithfully for all those she came in contact with to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. She lived her life daily trusting in God's goodness and grace. Laurie cared for her family and friends with a servant's heart and gave generously and sacrificially of herself to all. Her wise counsel and gentle-spirit blessed many. Her deep and abiding love for her family was demonstrated by her devotion and hard work to bring joy into their lives. Laurie enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening in her spare time, and sharing a cup of tea and her gifts with others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Laurie is the beloved wife of Mike Burton, loving mother of Nathanael (Emily Fox) Burton, Jesse (Jackie) Burton, and Rachel (Ronan O'Donnell) Burton, and grandmother of Jasper Burton, dear sister of Janet Allodi, Rita Robins, and Daniel Cottrill, and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 on Thursday, January 11th  from 5:00-7:00 PM (ET) and on Friday, January 12th at North Cincinnati Community Church, 6170 Irwin Simpson Rd, Mason, OH 45040 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Internment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery, 416 W. Silver St., Lebanon, OH 45036.
