Linda Lee (nee Bray) Ervin , 72 of Liberty Township, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
She was born to the late Donald and Loretta (nee Eldridge) Bray, December 5,1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from Reading High School in 1968.
She married her loving husband James W. Ervin on June 14, 1969, at Temple Baptist Church in Glendale, Ohio.
Linda is also survived by two children, Jamie (Roy) Webb and Laura Beth (Scott) Broermann, four grandchildren, Mallory (Myles) Calia, Braydon Webb, Tyler Broermann and Eva Broermann, five siblings, Sharon Pennix (Jimmy Howard), Dennis (Rhonda) Bray, Ricky (Tammy) Bray, Michael Bray and Melissa Deatherage.
She is preceded in death by her two baby girls Sarah Elaine October 14, 1977 and Jessica Sharon July 12, 1978.
Linda was always very proud of both of her daughters and encouraged them to pursue an education and a career. She worked in Human Resources for many years and led by example on how to be a strong woman and loving wife and mother.
She was a faithful woman who loved God and always let her light shine for Jesus, her family, church, and community. To the delight of her cherished husband Jim and the fellow parishioners at Grace Baptist Church in Mason, Linda loved to dress to the nines each Sunday – never skipping a beat with her fashionable hats, signature color-coordinated ensembles and jewelry. She boosted everyone’s spirits and her heart was as beautiful as each outfit she wore.
Linda was also an avid reader and loved old movies; especially anything with John Wayne. Her favorite pastime was to make quilts when she wasn’t busy in the kitchen enjoying every minute of cooking up her favorite foods – biscuits and gravy or cashew chicken.
Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. When they were younger she loved to read books to them and would encourage them to read by taking them to the library. She treasured each one of them and was so proud of all of her “babies”. She adored her entire family with her whole heart and was always encouraging family time with reunions and board games. She relished family vacations and being at the beach with her family was always her favorite week of the year.
