Lois Grimenstein

November 7, 1946 — October 11, 2024

West Chester

Lois J. Grimenstein (nee Nessenthaler), 77 of West Chester, passed away on October 11, 2024. Born to Ed and Ruth (nee McCarthey) Nessenthaler on November 7, 1946, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Lois was a professional nurse for most of her life. Caring for others and devoting many hours to the health care industry was her strongest passion. The latter part of her career was spent working at the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Lois enjoyed working with the residents of the program and her co-workers, many of whom became her close friends.

Lois had a knack for baking. She made goodies for all her family and friends, and one could say that it was her love language.

Her faith was very important to her, as she built her life around it. She regularly met with her bible study group at the park or cafes on a regular basis where they referred to themselves “The Committee”. A wonderful group of friends with faith as their foundation.

Lois and Larry were married for 56 years. They enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and going out to dinner. She will be missed terribly but we are forever grateful to have had her as part of our lives. We love you!

Preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ruth Nessenthaler.

Lois is survived by her husband, Larry Grimenstein, children, Lori (Scot) Clark and Larry Alan Grimenstein, grandson, Aidan Clark, siblings, Jill (David) Sherpitis and Ed Nessenthaler Jr and her four nephews, Josh and Chris Sherpitis and Samuel and Eli Nessenthaler.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16th from 1:00-2:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, OH 45040. Interment will follow in Dayton National Cemetery on Thursday privately.
