Lois M. Jakobi (nee Merland), 85,
was born in Norwood, Ohio on October 8, 1934 to August and Catherine (nee Egan) Merland.
Lois married her husband, William Jakobi, on December 5, 1956. Together they raised 4 children: Mary, Michael, William, and Lawrence. After 29 wonderful years together, William passed away on December 16, 1985.
She started her career at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. After moving to Ohio, Lois changed careers and began working for the City of Cincinnati. She helped to relocate families and businesses when the Riverfront Stadium was built. She retired from the City of Cincinnati after 30 years.

Lois is survived by: her children, Mary Jakobi, Michael Jakobi, William and Karen (nee Magoto) Jakobi, and Lawrence and Michael (Rasch) Jakobi; grandchildren, Oliver and Marie (nee Nisco) Jakobi and Lucas Jakobi; and one great-grandchild, Arthur Matteo Jakobi.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at St. Francis de Sales Church, 20 Desales Avenue, Lebanon, OH 45036. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, OH. Immediately following the interment service, all are invited to fellowship and food honoring Lois' life in Mueller's Family Center, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040.
