Lola M. Gnam (nee Dietz), of West Chester, Ohio, formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully November 26, 2019 at the age of 99. She was born August 22, 1920 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Reinhold and Ora (nee Gauthreaux) Dietz.
Lola was an avid reader and enjoyed the opportunity to escape in a good book. She would often get together with a group of friends and play several games of Bridge. A world traveler, Lola was fond of Rome and Tahiti. Lola was also a gifted seamstress making many formal dresses for her daughter, Barbara.
Lola was preceded in death by: parents, Reinhold and Ora Dietz; and husband, Gordon Gnam.
Lola is survived by: son, Michael (Sandy) Gnam; daughter, Barbara (Frank) Steinmetz; grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Gnam, Michelle (Brad) Evans, Tricia (Greg) Morris, Frank Steinmetz, Greg (Kathy) Steinmetz and Jeff (Jennifer Gracey) Steinmetz; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Rienhold (Donalyn) Dietz.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of Prayer Service at 11:00 AM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Interment will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, Louisiana with a graveside service at 10:00 AM.
Memorial donations may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
