Louis Edward Sorn

Louis Edward Sorn, 55 of Liberty Township, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. Born to Louis M. and Rose L. (nee Ewing) Sorn on April 23, 1966, in Hamilton, Ohio.

Lou was a 1984 graduate of Colerain High School and a 1988 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He worked for University Hospital and Ohio Casualty Insurance before going on to work in IT Security for Cincinnati Insurance for 15 years. He was a huge sports fan. Whether it was the UC Bearcats, Cincinnati REDS and Bengals or watching his beloved son on the baseball field or track, Louis enjoyed all things sports.

L ou and his son had a strong bond. He was supportive in anything he did and was always his number one cheerleader and his rock. Louis was a devoted husband, father, son, uncle and brother. He took spending time with his family seriously and enjoyed the moments he shared with his son and nephew.

Lou was active with Faith Community United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and Upward Basketball Coach. He also helped coach baseball for many years for his son’s teams. Volunteering for the Lakota West Marching Band and sitting for hours in the bleachers at a track meet were some of the things he loved.

Lou is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Swineford) Sorn, parents, Louis M. and Rose Sorn, son, Nathan E. Sorn, sister, Nancy (Mark) Bredemeier, parents -in-law, Richard and Joanne Swineford and nephew, Timothy Bredemeier.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 4th from 10:30-11:30AM with a funeral service at 11:30AM, all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. Entombment to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT SERVICES.

Memorial donations may be made in Louis’ name to the Faith Community United Methodist Church.
