Louis Edwards

Louis Ray Edwards, 86 years old, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away on May 13, 2023.

Born to Louis Henry and Stella (nee Shelton) Edwards on September 3, 1936, Augusta, Kentucky.

Lou proudly served in the United States Navy from 1954-1962. Lou worked in skilled trades for P&G, GM and Ford, when he retired in 2012.

He was a dedicated servant of the Lord. He and his wife Wanda met while he was in the Navy, and she was an Evangelist. They were married 6 months later and traveled the country, Lou singing and Wanda preaching. Lou also recorded two Gospel albums. They spent most of their lives serving in the church.

Lou enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandkids and always put his family first.

He was gentle and kind, friendly and outgoing; but most of all, a prayer warrior and a devoted family man. He will be missed.

Preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Wanda Edwards; his granddaughter, Heidi Edwards, and sister, Eva Mae Whitehead.

Louis is survived by his two sons, David Edwards and Daniel (Michelle) Edwards, grandchildren, Elyse Edwards, Tara (Brandon) Cottman, Evan Edwards, Hannah Edwards, Caleb Edwards and Adam Edwards, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 19 ^th from 11:30-12:30pm with a funeral service at 1230pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason OH 45040. Entombment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Memorial donations may be made in Louis’ name to the Disabled American Veterans.
