Margaret Koegle

Margaret Christine Koegle (nee Lynn), age 94, beloved wife of the late John Stuart Koegle, dear mother of Stuart (Pamela), Stephen, David, Robert and the late Janet Kellogg; grandmother of Justin, Jon, Katelyn Elizabeth Kellogg, Kyle and Maria Betances-Koegle, great grandmother of Alli Harrison, comfortably passed away Wednesday evening, August 14, 2024.

Margaret was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on June 5, 1930, to the late Arthur and Helen Lynn (nee Willis). She attended Stephen’s College for Women in Columbia, Missouri for two years before transferring to Ohio State University and earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree in 1950.

She married John in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1950.  John preceded her in death in 2010.

Margaret was a member of Alpha Kai Omega sorority, member of PEO, DAR and was an early member of St. Anne Episcopal Church.  She was also a “Master” Bridge player.  While living in Camden, Maine, she instructed Bridge classes which eventually led to the establishment of the DownEast Sectional Bridge Tournament, a well-attended New England Tournament.   She enjoyed reading Nancy Drew mysteries, traveling to her favorite places in Europe and cruising the high-seas with her family.  Her favorite hobbies were cross stitch and needlepoint sewing.

A Memorial Service for Margaret will be held at St. Anne Episcopal Church, 6461 Tylersville Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069 on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00AM.
