Marie Carter

Marie Carter (nee Danielson) , longtime resident of Anderson Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on February 15, 1928.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hoffman; granddaughter, Catherine (Mike) Schmidt; grandson, John Hoffman; and great-grandchildren: Ryan, Addison, and Hannah Schmidt; sisters: Dianna Savage and Debbie Danielson; and brother, Martin (Dolores) Danielson.

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Price DeWitt Carter; son, Scott Carter; sisters: Dorothy (Charles) Saccocci, Eileen (Henry) Salsano, Jean (Charles) Tanga, and Joan Anderson; and son-in-law, Warren Hoffman.

Marie was an avid dancer, enjoyed playing golf, gardening, traveling, and spending winters in Florida with her husband. She was a charter member of Kindervelt (Anderson Township), a former president of Wagon Wheels, and a member of Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church.

Marie will always be remembered for her love and kindness, and blessing her family with a lifetime of beautiful memories that will always be cherished and remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10th at 11:00AM at Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Anderson Township.
