Marian B. Smith

Marian Blickley Smith, age 90, of Landen, Ohio died peacefully March 21, 2021 at Bethesda North Hospital, Montgomery, Ohio.

Born in Maple Hills, Pennsylvania, Marian was the daughter of Anna and John Blickley. Marian was the youngest of five siblings, Anna, Catherine, Jack, and Jeannie.

Marian was an honor graduate of Scared Heart School of Nursing in Allentown, Pa. Marian began her career as a nurse in Allentown Pa working in a physician’s office. Several years later she met and married her husband, Eugene P. Smith who has preceded her in death.

Marian and family moved several times due to Gene’s career from Allentown, Pa., to Devon, Pa., and then to Cincinnati, Ohio. Marian, Gene and their three children lived in Montgomery, Ohio. Marian chose to raise her children forgoing her nursing career. Marian eventually returned to work however changing her career and worked in the Cincinnati Real Estate market. Her employer, Sibcy Cline Realtors, awarded her many times with its honorary Million Dollar Club, an accomplishment which enriched a long and successful career of over 30 years.

Marian retired along with husband Gene and lived in a beautiful condo on Landen Lake. Marian enjoyed their dogs, beautiful home, and extensive garden (quite her hobby), as well as spending time with children and grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ellen Fletcher of Westlake Village, Ca., a deceased son, Brian John and daughter in law, Connie Smith of Mason, Ohio, the youngest son, Phillip Smith and wife Kathy Smith of Maineville, Ohio.

Six grandchildren include Kelly Gerth (Adam Galliath), Katie Smith, Spencer Smith (Emma), Amy Pendergrass (Jeff), Samantha Burnett (Drew) and Daniel Smith (fiancé Molly Pemenowsky).

Great grandchildren are Mollie Gerth, Matteo Galliath, Cooper Rothman, Reagan Smith and Evelyn Smith.

Preceded in death is Eugene P. Smith, husband. Brian J. Smith, son and Sandra Smith, daughter in law.

A private family service and burial will be held at Mueller Funeral Home, Mason, Ohio.
