Marilyn (nee Divo) Goettsch, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 16, 2020, at the age of 72, following a brave battle with alheimer's disease. She was born Thursday, August 7, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Frank and Dolores (nee Gratsch) Divo.
Growing up, Marilyn learned to play the piano and had a great ear for music. Her talent for interior decorating came naturally and she took pleasure in putting her touch on the family's homes. Marilyn also had a passion for reading that she continued until her health began to fail. Being outdoors with the sun shining down always put a smile on Marilyn's face. In fact, the only thing she loved more was loving on babies and animals.
Marilyn will forever be cherished by those that loved her.
Marilyn was preceded in death by: parents, Frank and Dolores Divo; and husband, Eric J. Goettsch.
Marilyn is survived by: children, Mike (Pilar) Goettsch, Sandy Goettsch, and Andy (Lisa) Goettsch; grandchildren, Alex, Julianna, and Emma Goettsch; sister, Sandy (Norb) Wolke; brother, Ted (Pat) Divo; and many loving family members and friends including her caretaker, Catalina "Cathy" Ortiz and family.
A LIMITED VISITATION will be held Friday, May 22, 2020 from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the funeral home is only able to allow 50 people in the building at one time. We ask once you greet the family, you exit allowing other guests the opportunity to visit.
A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 PM on Friday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
