Marilyn Lee Mills

October 27, 1947 — April 10, 2020

Marilyn Lee Mills, (nee Hetzler), of Mason, OH. Marilyn was born in Dayton, OH to Herbert and Rita Hetzler. She was a 1965 graduate of Julienne High School.

Marilyn is the beloved wife of the late Lowell Mills, devoted mother of Lisa (Darren) Callahan and Amy (Brian) Bensman, loving grandma of Liam Callahan, Charlotte Callahan, Olivia Bensman and Mia Bensman, dear sister of the late John Hetzler.
Marilyn started her career working at NCR in the 60's, then was an amazing stay home mom raising Lisa and Amy until the early 80's.  She started back as an Administrative Assistant at many companies beginning at Bette Massie Salon, for whom she also modeled. Marilyn then worked for Mills and Associates, where she met Lowell.  From there she moved to Northrup Grumman, where she proudly worked in the B2 Bomber division.   After marrying in 1997 she enjoyed traveling to Paris, and London and especially to Vegas.  In 2009 she went back to work, first for a State Farm agency, then at the Mason Community Center and finally for the Warren County Board of Elections.
Marilyn loved spending time with her girls and her grandkids.  She traveled many times to both Chicago and Los Angeles to see Lisa and her family and in 2010 to she moved to Mason to be closer to Amy and her family.  Until the very end Marilyn remained active and living her best life.  She was incredibly stylish and completely hip to current events and pop culture.
Marilyn passed away suddenly on Friday, April 10, 2020, at the young age of 72.  Her immediate family members will gather Wed April 15th to say their final goodbyes privately, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Marilyn's final resting place will be in Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio where a graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.
