Mary Fern Wilder

Mary "Fern" (nee Bishop) Wilder, of Maineville, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the age of 87.  The oldest of 12 children, she was born Monday, April 3, 1933 in Clay County, Kentucky to Justice and Della Mae (nee Baker) Bishop.

Fern made the best pea-pickin' cake you have ever tasted and her blueberry pie and peach cobbler ran a close second.  In fact, all of her cooking was amazing with biscuits and gravy sure to add a pound or two. Fortunately, Fern also enjoyed working in the yard and garden which provided the vegetable side dishes.  Taking long walks, taking in the world around her was just her speed and she always loved to go fishing or boating at Lake Cumberland.

Fern was preceded in death by: parents, Justice and Della Bishop; husbands, Kelly Byrd and Elbert Wilder; son-in-law, Michael Urti; and siblings, O.T. Bishop, Reva Butler, Jobie Bishop and Johnnie Bishop.

Fern is survived by: daughter, Teresa Urti; grandchildren, Chris (Sandra) Urti, Jennifer (David) Burton, and Jason (Tracy) Urti; great-grandchildren, Mikayla & Nicolas Urti, Ryan Urti, and Joshua, Lucas & Madison Urti; siblings, Howard Bishop, Ellis Bishop, Orvalene Martin, Leon Bishop, Alvin Bishop, Edna Dean, and Bill Bishop; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.  Masks will be REQUIRED and social distancing encouraged.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 12:15 PM for the family.  Seating will be LIMITED as we follow state guidelines.
