Mary M. Galley

Mary Madeline Smalley Galley , daughter of Goldie Marie Simmons Smalley and Harlan Edward Smalley was born in Scott Township, Adams County, Ohio on January 3, 1924 and departed this life on September 21, 2019.

On March 30, 1946 she was united in marriage to Robert Russell Galley who preceded her in death on February 15, 1993. To this union four children were born; Glenda Gay and Garry Lee who have preceded her in death and in addition to Glenda and Garry, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Smalley and a granddaughter, Jessica Galley. Her surviving sons, Robert Russell Jr. and Ronald Lance. Her surviving daughters-in-law are Terri, Leslie and Marilyn Galley along with her grandchildren, Sherri Henry, Shawn, Shane, Jason, Gina, and Tyler. Mary's great grandchildren are Haley and Trent Henry, Joshua, Jaxon, Khloe and Jayla Galley.

She is also survived by a sister, Sarah Jane Reed of Loveland, and a brother Ray Smalley of Avon.

She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and on July 18, 1993 she was baptized at the Madeira Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading poetry, attending church, being with her family and friends, caring for her flowers and most of all being with her grandchildren.

Shortly after the passing of her husband Robert she sold her home they had resided in for 47 years in Deer Park. Her sons had an apartment built adjoining her son Bob's home in Mason, Ohio where she could be close to them for her remaining years.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM until Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at Christ's Church Mason, 5165 Western Row Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, Cincinnati, Ohio.
