Mary "Ruth" (nee Wigginton) Millisor,
of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the age of 88. She was born Friday, May 1, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to Henry and Mary (nee Samuels) Wigginton.
On Saturday, March 21, 1953, Ruth married her soulmate, Robert "Bob" Millisor. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter. Faith and family were priorities for Ruth, and she worked hard to lead by example. Ruth went back to college with two young boys at home; she earned her bachelors degree from Otterbein College while she taught school, maintained a household, and still had time to show her family love. Ruth retired from teaching in the Columbus Public School System after 30 years of service.
Ruth was raised in the church in Louisville, then became an early member of North Linden Baptist Church in Columbus. Her musical talent allowed her the opportunity to play piano during services as well as accompanying a gospel trio. Ruth moved to West Chester, Ohio in 1998. She was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church until her health declined. Being a resident of The Christian Village at Mason allowed her the opportunity to continue her weekly devotionals. True to her faith, Ruth continued to pray for her family until God reunited her with her beloved husband.
The Millisor home was open to all. Many meals and conversations were shared with a variety of extended family and friends; she earned the title of "mom" to many. She will forever be remembered for her love of The OHIO State Buckeyes.
Ruth was preceded in death by: parents, Henry and Mary Wigginton; husband, Robert "Bob" Millisor; and siblings, Wayne Wigginton, Kenny Wigginton, and Buster Wigginton.
