Mayme Jo (nee Crawford) Henslee, 81, of West Chester, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022, with her family by her side. Born to Charlie and Ressie (nee Wilder) Crawford on August 14, 1940, in Lee County, Virginia.
Jo worked for 11 years for Miller Brewery on the bottle line and in the pay roll department. She was a giving and loving individual who would always do for others before she did something for herself.
Jo had a kind heart, was a fantastic cook and a beautiful personality. She was a devoted mother and wife. She loved to be around her grandchildren and support them in everything they did.
Jo enjoyed spending her free time making crafts. She used wood and magnets and personalized the crafts for her family. Jo sewed, quilted, and crocheted as well.
When she wasn't crafting, she spent lots of time in her flower garden and watching the hummingbirds in her feeder.
Jo was a straight A student and extremely intelligent. It came very easy to her without having to study.
Preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ressie Crawford, and two brothers, Charles, and Ray Crawford.
Jo is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Lance S. Henslee, five children, Paula Henslee, Tonya (Garrick) Ballard, Danny (Julie) Henslee, Roger Henslee and Melissa Henslee, grandchildren, Krystal, Natalie, Shy, Marcus, Walter, Tina, Misty, Leander, Little Danny, Brittany, Roger, Jordan, Christian, Jaclyn and Catherine, great grandchildren, Robert, Jaiden, Adrian, Cameron, Miguel, Wyatt, Amber, Brantley, Christopher, Brandon, Chandler, Leander, Claridy, Michael, Gracie, Kooper, Mallory, Caylin and one on the way, goddaughter, Traci Hayes, siblings, Kenneth (Kim), Robert (Debbie), Bobby Lee (Doreen), Patsy Carter, Lynda (Mike) Morgeson, Glenda Miciano, Brenda (Doug) Semen, Donnie and Richard, sister-in-law, Janet Crawford and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24th from 10:00AM-12noon and a funeral service at 12noon all at Turningpoint Church, 7019 Tylersville Rd, West Chester Township, OH 45069. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Flowers may be sent in Jo's honor or donations can be made toward the funeral expenses.
