Mayre E. Meyer

Mayre E. Meyer (nee Kantz), 82 of Dyer, IN passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. She was born in Lafayette, IN to James and Josephine Kantz.

Mayre was the beloved wife of the late Donald Meyer, devoted and loving mother of Mike (Jackie) Meyer, Jo Allyn (Glenn) Comstock, Ellen (Alex) Vermejan, Steven (Karen) Meyer and David (Jeff Smith) Meyer, loving grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 2, dear sister of Judy Harvey and the late Diana Godber.

Mayre was strong, adventurous and a thrill seeker. Her husband passed away at a young age and Mayre had to start working immediately. She raised the 5 children successfully and they blessed her with the 13 grandkids. Mayre was an amazing mother. She enjoyed traveling, ALL the family functions, riding roller coasters of all sizes and types, having fun at the casino and winter months in Hawaii.

Services will be conducted in Indiana in the near future.
