Megan Danielle Herbst

Megan Danielle Herbst (nee Shay), of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the young age of 32.

As a young girl, it was obvious Megan was destined for greatness.  Her love of animals led her to study Veterinary Science at the University of Cincinnati, where she met her soulmate, Phillip M. Herbst.  Following a two day engagement, the two were married on January 3, 2017, just before Phillip was deployed.  Megan enjoyed the simple things in life like drawing, painting, and being one with nature. She followed her dreams in animal care, taking immense pride in her work as a professional Pet Stylist every single day. As a natural leader, Megan shaped the lives of everyone she worked with. She invested herself completely with those she loved.  Megan will be forever loved and cherished by those that knew her.

Megan was preceded in death by: her father, Lonnie Ray Shay, grandparents, Ollie Ruth Asher and Norbert Edward Fizzie; mother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Herbst; and dear friend, Rob Roy.

Megan is survived by: husband, Phillip M. Herbst; parents, Tabitha and Mark Hall; sister, Alison (Ryan) Tullius; father-in-law, Philip Joseph (Laura) Herbst; brother-in-law, Patrick Ryan (Hanna) Herbst; grandparents, Pamela Ford and David Hall; nieces, Margaret Ruth Tullius, Ellie May Herbst, and Emma Rhea Herbst; fur-babies, Nora, Luna, Kira, Edgar, and Poe; and close friends, Jordan Brunner and Austin Mefford.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tyersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
