Merrill "Wayne" Wilcoxon, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully January 7, 2022 at the age of 66. He was born January 10, 1955 in Maysville, Kentucky to Dallas and Bonnie (nee Barcus) Wilcoxon.

Raised in Marion, Ohio by Willard and Edna Higgins, Wayne grew up playing baseball and enjoyed being a Boy Scout. As a family, they spent just about every weekend at the cabin on Lake Erie fishing.

As a teenager driving through Sharon Woods, Wayne met the love of his life, Yvonne Lester. The two were married in Hamilton, Ohio on August 10, 1974. For over 35 years, Wayne worked for the Carpenter's Union, Local 126.

Wayne's love of the water continued into adulthood taking his family to Lake Erie as often as they could to enjoy boating and fishing. He also developed a love of bowling and enjoyed the many friendships made over the years. Born with a greenthumb, Wayne could grow just about any kind of vegetable.

Wayne was preceded in death by: parents, Dallas Wilcoxon and Bonnie Francis & Willard and Edna Higgins; brothers, Tim Wilcoxon and Larry Higgins; and brothers-in-law, Gary Holiday, Ronnie Lester, Steve Lester and Mack Lester

Wayne is survived by: wife, Yvonne Wilcoxon; daughter, Mendy West; son, Jeremy (Jamie) Wilcoxon; grandchildren, Hannah West, Rylee West, Waylon West, Brycedon Wilcoxon, Bella Wilcoxon, and Blake Wilcoxon; great-grandchildren, Eliza West and Caroline Thompson; brother, Ronald (Penny) Wilcoxon; sister, Linda Holiday; sisters-in-law, Loretta Wilcoxon, Nancy Higgins, Bonnie (Terry) Adams, Bonita Lester and Gemma Lester; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
