Michael J. Denney

Michael J. Denney, of Mason, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born Sunday, December 6, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to General P. and Helen May (nee Berchtold) Denney.

An Electrician since 1964, Mike was a member of the I.B.E.W.  After dating for two years, Mike asked his best-friend, Ruby Carolyn Wood, to be his wife. The two were married on Friday, April 7, 1961 at St. Michael Parish in Sharonville, Ohio. Mike and Carol spent the next 60 years creating wonderful memories to be cherished.

Affectionately known as "Bud" to many, Mike was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, but nothing brought a smile to his face like being in a combine tractor. A simple man that led a simple life, family and farming was what held his heart.

Beloved husband of Carol Denney; devoted father of Michael (Terri) Denney and Patrick (Mary) Denney; loving grandfather of Joseph (Sarah) Denney, Curtis Denney, Melanie Denney, Travis Denney, T.R. (Kimberly) Cox, and Chris (Kela) Cox; great-grandfather of 14; dear brother of Peggy (Georg) Bartlett, Cathy (Terry) Reese, Barbie (Bob) McCalla, Susan (Chip) Abbott, and Judy Clarke; uncle Buddy to many; and a friend anyone could count on. Mike will forever be remembered by those that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Interment will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
