Michael William Schweitzer, 55 of Wilmington, died on Monday, June 21, 2021. Born to E. William and Shirley G. Schweitzer on November 18, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Michael was kind, thoughtful and always put his faith and family first. He had a love of Jesus and always kept the faith. Michael attended Wilmington Nazarene church and was a volunteer there. Michael would be the one to give you the shirt off his back and loved everyone. Michael would spend time reading the word of God, and watching church services when not at church. He loved spending time with his family, and making sure he always made them feel special. Over the years Michael has created many friends at church and different homes he has lived in.
He was a devoted Cincinnati REDS fan, enjoyed fishing and bowling, but nothing beat drinking a nice cold Pepsi. Michael enjoyed drawing, and drawing Snoopy was his favorite. He had a love of cars, racing and being outdoors on a nice summer walk. In the past, Michael was a volunteer with the National Alliance for Mentally Ill.
Preceded in death by his father, E. William Schweitzer and grandparents, Pearl C. Bowlin, Robert and Shirley E. Schweitzer.
Michael is survived by his mother, Shirley G. Schweitzer, siblings, Kimberly Baudendistel, Stacey (Thomas) Wiggins and Ryan (Cicely) Schweitzer, three nieces and three nephews, Justin, Meghan, Lauren, Cameron, Sydney, Kaine and two great nieces and one great nephew, Mia, Zayden and Raelynn.
