Michael Thomas Taney, Sr

Michael Thomas Taney, Sr., 79 of West Chester, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024. Born to Thomas and Anna (nee Porter) Taney on February 21, 1944, in Covington, Kentucky.

Michael worked for the Postal Service for 38 years, ending as the Postmaster for Mason, Ohio.  A dedicated family man who truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending almost every sports game.

An avid golfer with Four Bridges. Michael was a well-liked, kind, caring man. He was someone who was just super nice and easy to talk to.

Preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Margaret Millay, Joseph Patrick Taney, Dennis Taney and Kathleen Lord and grandson, Timothy Kevan Taney.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (nee Halpin) Taney, children, Kelley Hensler, Mike (Amy nee Koebbe) Taney Jr, and Tim (Jill nee Nichols) Taney, grandchildren, Stacey (Jeremy) Potts, Melinda Hensler, Allison Taney, Andrea Taney, Madison (Noah) McCartney, Macy Taney, Mekenzie Taney and Michael Joseph Taney, great grandchildren, Taylor and Maizley Potts and Matilda Ackman.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1st from 10:00-11:00am with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am all at St Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to St Jude Foundation.
