Michele Ann Walters

Michele Ann Walters (nee Ross), of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the age of 70.  She was born Friday, August 17, 1951 in Russellville, Arkansas to Michael James and Linda Ann (nee Taylor) Ross.  She was raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and she loved talking about her childhood in her beloved hometown.

Education was a priority in Michele's life and she consistently challenged herself with learning something new.  As a young teacher at Seton High School, Michele attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law to earn her Juris Doctorate.  She practiced law for several years before returning to teaching at McAuley High School and later retiring from Ursuline Academy.  As much as she loved learning, Michele also loved teaching. She believed strongly in girls’ Catholic education, having benefited from it herself at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA.  She believed in the education not only of the mind, but also of the heart and the soul.  She taught and mentored innumerable young women in the classroom and through Mock Trial.

An avid reader, Michele might quite possibly have more books than Barnes and Noble and her history magazine collection is quite extensive.  A perpetual learner, she was looking forward to quilting more and perfecting her stitches.  She enjoyed family vacations to the Outer Banks, Colonial Williamsburg, England, Hawaii, and the Virgin Islands. Michele will forever be remembered and cherished by those that knew her.

Michele was preceded in death by: parents, Michael and Linda Ross.

Michele is survived by: husband of 34 years, Wayne H. Walters; daughter, Giovanna (Jeremy Robinson) Walters; brother, Michael "Jim" (Michele) Ross; sister by choice, Marianne Ridiman; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Ursuline Academy Besl Theatre, 5535 Pfeiffer Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
