Michelle (Chelle) Ann Melzer, 72, of Mason, Ohio, died surrounded by her family on April 13, 2024. Born Michelle Rouhier on August 19, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of William and Helen Rouhier and the wife of Robert Melzer, a retired Air Force serviceman. The couple married in Germany in 1971. Her husband’s Air Force career took them to England and Italy as well as to California, New Mexico, Washington D.C. and back to Omaha, before retiring to Cincinnati, Ohio. Chelle was devoted to her family and loved to travel, to shop, to dance, and to cook, especially her mother’s recipes. She was proud of her Irish heritage, generous, outgoing, quick with a joke, and never afraid to speak her mind. She is survived by her husband, by her children Kerry Stafford (Mark), Shannon Melzer, Devin Melzer (Kim) and Ryan Melzer (Molly Williamson), by her siblings Daniel Rouhier and Jeanmarie Rouhier-Willoughby, and by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with another expected in the summer.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 22, 2024, at Mueller Funeral Home on Tylersville Rd with a private service to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio. Please wear pink to honor her memory. The family asks for donations towards Chelle’s funeral expenses as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
