Nancy Cross

Nancy Jean (nee Redwine) Cross, 72 of Lebanon, passed away on April 20, 2022, with her family by her side. Born to Robert and Ruth Ann (nee Heile) Redwine on November 26, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Nancy was an executive administrative assistant with Procter and Gamble for 30 years and went on to work for Cintas for 10 years before retiring. She sure enjoyed retirement. Spending time with her family, hosting holidays, and loving on her three grandsons is what made her so happy.

Faith and family were most important to Nancy. She always put the Lord first in her life. She was always involved in Bible study and enjoyed telling others about Christ.

Nancy had a love of travel. She and her sisters would go to Amish Country, the mountains and beach with her kids and grandkids and the many trips to Disney. She was creative, organized and a true planner. Nancy made lots of scrap books, was known as the family photographer, designed scavenger hunts, wrote her own poetry, and enjoyed gardening which are just some of the creative things she had a passion for.

Nancy was quiet, but strong. She was sweet, patient, and humble. Her son describes her as the most selfless person he has ever met. Her sisters say, “Nancy had a heart of gold, the most generous woman.”

Preceded in death by her husband Freddy Cross and her parents, Robert and Ruth Redwine.

Nancy is survived by her two children, Amanda (Tim) Scott and Jared Cross, three grandsons, Riley and Evan Scott and Reed Cross, five siblings, Steve (Nancy Lou) Redwine, Debra (Jim) Williams, Donna (Gary) Raabe, Beth Simmang and Sharon (Frank) McAvinchey, many nieces and nephews, as well as her companion a Jack Russell named Jack.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25th from 11:00-12NOON with a funeral service at 12NOON all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s name to Antioch Church , Lebanon.
