Nancy Smith

Nancy Louise Smith (nee Byrne), of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 69. She was born Saturday, December 2, 1950 in Orange, New Jersey to Lewis J. and Mary Elizabeth (nee Lane) Byrne, Jr.

Growing up, Nancy had made the decision to be a teacher. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. It did not take long before she joined forces with her husband in the business world of golf retail. Nancy had an eye for beauty with an appreciation for flowers and took pride in her crafting creations she sold at local craft shows and bestowed on loved ones.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis J. Byrne, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Byrne; and brother, Michael Byrne.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas A. Smith; children, Jennifer Smith- (David) Hohne, Jeffrey (Kim) Smith, and Ashley Smith- (Robert) Schoettker; grandchildren, Bailey, Austin, Ryan, Gavin, Aiden, and Theodore, and many loving family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 23rd from 10:00am-11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Deacon Jerry Barney will be officiating. Interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. Masks are REQUIRED and social distancing will be observed.
