Norine Rieder

Norine (Nonie) D. Rieder (nee Gibbons) , 95, of Sharonville, OH passed away on Tuesday, February16, 2021. Norine was born in Reading, OH to James and Marie Gibbons.

Norine was a strong, hard working, independent woman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved Jesus and was committed to her faith. Nonie and Martin were married for 44 years, loved to dance and were always the first on the dance floor. They enjoyed attending Bengal games including the 1989 Super Bowl and traveling with friends until his death in 1990. Her yard reflected her passion for gardening. She was an incredible cook, hosting many family events and always baking her famous pies. She was a remarkable woman, working well into her nineties, and she was loved by all who had the privilege to know her.

Norine was preceded in death by her parents; James and Marie (nee Theis) Gibbons, sisters Mary Jane Gibbons and Peggy Webb and brother; Donald (Mary) Gibbons.

Norine is survived by her children: Gary (Jan) Rieder, Denny (Kim) Rieder, Debbie (Iggy) Yee, Karen (Mike) Bennett and Vicki (Nate) Rice, grandchildren: Emily (Donald) Butler, Patrick Rieder, Justin Kappers, Allyson (Wes) Baird, Matthew Rieder, Quentin Rieder, Katie Engel, Morgan Rieder, Jayson (Theresa) Yee, Jennifer (Patrick) McAllister, Abigail Yee, Andrew (Alida) Yee, Ben Bennett, Katie Bennett, Hannah Bennett, Nathan Rice and Aaron (Jackie) Rice, great-grandchildren: Braxton and Kenadee Butler, Violet Baird, Milah and Roman Engel, Colin, Claire and William McAllister, Elizabeth Yee, Eleanor and Kate Rice, brother: James (Ann) Gibbons, also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at Good Shepherd Parish, 8815 E. Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249 on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 12:00 noon. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
