Norma Jean (nee Denning) Cromer, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the age of 73. She was born Thursday, March 20, 1947 in Springdale, Ohio to Dewey Augustus Denning and Ethel Henrietta (nee Ruhlman) Denning.

Born with a talent to create, Norma made her own wedding dress with the help of her family. On a beautiful sunny Saturday, October 7, 1967, she wore the stunning gown as she said her vows to her sweetheart, Glenn Cromer. Over the next 53 years, the couple would build a home that was filled with love and laughter. A place where everyone was considered family. Norma stitched and crocheted many treasured pieces, even handmaking the centerpieces for her daughter's wedding reception.

Faith played an important role in Norma's life. A long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, she taught CCD classes and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Norma could always be counted on to volunteer her time to the church festibals and share-a-lunch as well. Her smile was contagious and she never hesitated to share it with anyone around her. With her positive spirit, Norma continued to smile even when she didn't feel good and was always ready to sing a verse or two of "You Are My Sunshine".

Norma will be greatly missed and forever cherished by all that knew and loved her.

Norma was preceded in death by: parents, Dewey and Ethel Denning; son, Jeffery Glenn Cromer; brothers, Richard Denning, Thomas Denning, Walter Denning, and Raymond Denning; and sisters, Marjorie Flowers, and Audrey Enderle.

Norma is survived by: husband, Glenn Cromer; son, Paul Cromer; daughter, Emily (Michael) Brafford; brother, Steven (Vicki) Denning; sisters-in-law, Carol Denning and Donna Denning; and many loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Road, West Chester, OH 45069. The State of Ohio requires face masks/coverings be worn and social distancing guidelines followed.
