Orville "Whitey" Clark

April 22, 1938 — December 5, 2022

Orville “Whitey” Clark, 84 of Cincinnati, passed away with his family by his side on December 5, 2022. Born to Albert and Judy (nee Slusher) Clark on April 22, 1938, in Pineville, Kentucky.

Whitey was meant to serve his community. He was the shoulder to lean on and a listening ear. He was the welcoming smile when you entered the room and a fantastic storyteller. Whitey had the ability to make you feel like you were the only person in the room. A natural born Barber who had a true skill, he was the owner of the Royal Barbershop for over 60 years.

An avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing and being in his garden. He was a kind man with a loyal and trusting heart. He would help anyone in their time of need and never thought twice about it.

A University of Kentucky basketball fan through and through. He cheered on the Big Blue from, Ohio every chance he could.

Preceded by his parents, Albert and Judy Clark and Mossie and Willie Southerland, grandmother, Abby Catherine Slusher, his beloved wife, Mary Joyce Clark, and siblings, Bill Clark, Jackie Miracle, Joyce Tolliver, James Southerland, and Llyod Southerland.

Orville is survived by his two children, Douglas Clark, and Kimberly (Anthony) Conie, five grandchildren, Amanda (Gavin) O’Malley, Abby (fiancé Conner) Conie, Katlyn (fiancé Weston) Conie, Cameron Clark and Emma Clark, great grandchildren, Dakota and Aria O’Malley and Adelynn Schmidt, siblings, Nadine Edwards, Bill (Barb) Southerland, Vida (Len) Reith, Alma Dean (Bill) Epperson and Coy (Robin) Southerland, two sisters in law, Jan Southerland and Betty Clark-Sutton and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9 th from 11:00AM-1:00pm with a funeral service at 1:00pm all at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040. Interment in Arlington Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the James Cancer Center.
