She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Dimitrios G. Marinakis, her loving son Dr. Bill D. Marinakis, sister Sophia Kanatas, and brother, Konstantine Kanatas. She is survived by her children, George D. Marinakis (Helen), Ted D. Marinakis (Katie), Angela D. Marinakis; grandchildren Pamela Marinakis, Sofia Blackstone, James W. Marinakis, Paula Marinakis, Chrissa Marinakis, Dimitri Marinakis, Dimitra Marinakis, Victoria Marinakis, Nicole Marinakis, Constantine W. Marinakis; brothers Nicholas Kanatas and Vasilios Kanatas, and many nieces and nephews.
Her greatest contentment in life centered around her family, and her greatest sorrow was losing her cherished son, Bill, and not being permitted to see his children after his death.
