Patrick J. Kurtz

Patrick J. Kurtz, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 50. He was born Wednesday, May 6, 1970 in Cincinnati, Ohio to August W. and Suzanne (nee Morris) Kurtz.

The life of the party, Pat had the ability to make friends anywhere and everywhere. Perhaps it was his jazzy dance moves, his witty jokes, or his ability to serenade a stranger with any song, his ability to make others laugh was truly priceless. Pat was a dedicated pipe fitter (or pipe "fighter" as he used to say) for Local Union 162 where his co-workers became more like family. He enjoyed his hours working and also playing softball with this group of friends. With a love of the outdoors, Pat often went camping exploring and discovering new favorite spots.

If you met Pat, you met a man with a heart as big as he was. He will be forever loved and cherished by all who knew him.

Pat was preceded in death by: father, August W. Kurtz.

Pat is survived by: his daughters, Haley (Jacob Ramey) Kurtz and Hannah Kurtz; granddaughter, Maycie Ramey; mother, Suzanne Kurtz; siblings, Deborah Kurtz-Eby, Augie Kurtz, and Julie (Keith) Butler; and many loving family members and friends including Larry Eby and Lisa Kurtz.

A Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. The State of Ohio REQUIRES face masks/coverings be worn and social distancing guidelines followed.

The Funeral Service will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 20th for immediate family. Seating will be limited due to the Social Distancing Guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Mueller Funeral Home or to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
