Paul David Hennip

Paul David Hennip, of Mason, Ohio, formerly of Schaumburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the age of 73. He was born Wednesday, March 19, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to David and Mary (nee Sportiello) Hennip.

Born an only child, Paul was very close to his cousins. He was affectionately known as "Pauly" to those he grew up with. His life forever changed on May 2, 1970 when he said "I Do" to his true love, Judith Ann Straub. Together, they built a lifetime of memories filled with love and laughter.

As an entrepreneur and IT expert, Paul enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Fox Lake. Time would be spent boating and fishing, but most of all just enjoying the pleasures of life. Woodworking was a natural talent for Paul, creating many heirlooms that will be treasured for years.

With a servant's heart, Paul was a member of Rotary for over 20 years. He was passionate about the youth exchange program and the opportunities it provided, hosting 11 students over the years. Paul also dedicated his time to serving on the Board of Education for McHenry Community High School.

Paul's legacy will forever be cherished by: wife, Judy Hennip; daughter, Tina (Steen) Pedersen; son, Tim (Kathi) Hennip; grandchidren, Matthew Pedersen, Lucas Pedersen, Nicholas Pedersen, Daine (Tina) Chancey, Tyson (Ashley) Hennip, and Samantha Hennip; great-grandchildren, AmberLynn Chancey, Behr Chancey, Ryleigh Rose Hennip, Harper Hennip, and baby Hennip arriving soon; and many close family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2021 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am.
