Paul R. "Randy" Bennett, Jr., of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 14, 2019, two days following his 74th birthday. He was born Wednesday, September 12, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Paul R. Bennett, Sr. and Rose (nee Morra) Bennett.
Randy served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He received the Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze star as well as the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device. Randy was proud of his service and loved his country.
At the young age of 16, his Uncle Joe taught Randy how to play golf. From that moment on, Randy looked forward to being on the course as much as he could. Randy scored a "hole-in-one" while on his annual trip with the Myrtle Beach Group with a close group of friends. When he wasn't golfing, Randy enjoyed woodworking creating masterpieces his family and friends will cherish for years. Randy was also an avid football fan of professional and college teams.
Professionally, he was a great servant-leader of organizations throughout his career and one of his professional accomplishments was leading the installation project of the communication systems at the new Paul Brown Stadium. Randy enjoyed traveling with his wife giving them the chance to see amazing places both here and abroad.
Randy was preceded in death by: parents, Paul R. Sr. and Rose Bennett; and a brother, Michael Bennett
Randy is survived by: wife of 50 years, Barbara (nee Boehmer) Bennett; children, Todd (Carol) Bennett and Traci Bennett; grandsons, Cole Bennett, Jack Bennett and Davis Bennett; and many loving family members and friends.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 20, 2019, at 10:00AM at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
