Ray Souder, 77, of Maineville, OH passed away on Friday, December 11th surrounded by his loved ones. He fought a long courageous battle with cancer and is now at peace.
Ray was born in Cincinnati and was the son of Harold and Faywood Souder.
Harold Ray Souder was the beloved husband of Sandra (nee Listermann) for 57 years, devoted father of Tony (Tina) Souder, Bryan Souder, Vanessa (Steve) Seiter, Brett (Jennifer) Souder and Felicia (Scott) Stevens, loving grandfather of T.J. (Megan) Souder, Stephen (Danielle) Souder, Mackenzie Seiter, Austin Seiter, Delaney Souder, Brett Souder II, Summer Stevens and Skyler Stevens and great-grandfather of Blake, Miles, Reagan and Rory Souder, dear brother of Judy (Joe) Alering, Julian (Kathy) Souder and Butch (Kathy) Souder, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ray loved his family and passed on his witty personality and sense of style to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and bicycling with his dog Sadie. His most proud moments were always reflected in the achievements of his children and grandchildren.
Ray retired from Thriftway Foods after 40 years as the Meat Department Manager. He was known as the prankster at work and created many enjoyable memories with his work family.
Ray will live on in the hearts of many. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be scheduled at a later date.
