Richard "Dick" Cange

Richard "Dick" Cange, of Mason, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 in the comfort of his home at the age of 75.  He was born Friday, September 1, 1944, in Cairo, Illinois just 8 minutes behind his twin brother Jim, to Robert and Eulaine (nee Brey) Cange.  The youngest of four brothers, Dick was never without a smile and brought good natured mischief to his family.

Dick married his best friend and life-long sweetheart, Patricia Bogle, on Saturday, December 26, 1970.  Together they raised a family filled with laughter and love that surrounds them and remains close today.  Dick built a long and successful career in insurance and enjoyed the relationships and friends he built through his work.  Dick was always eager to be with friends and family and enjoy a good time.  He will be remembered as a life of the party with his joking nature and ease with people.  He loved spending time with his nine grandchildren, traveling, shopping with his family, and was an avid animal lover.

Family was first and foremost in Dick's life.  He will forever be cherished by those that loved him.

Dick was preceded in death by: parents, Robert and Eulaine Cange; and brother, Robert Cange.

Dick is survived by: wife of 49 years, Pat Cange; children, Kelly (Jeff) Oaks, Kim (Brian) Shaffer and Craig (Melina) Cange; grandchildren, Sydney, Ryan and Drew Oaks, Lincoln and Karley Shaffer, & Marshall, Roman, Brey and Giuliana Cange; brothers, Bill (Leslie) Cange and Jim (Gail) Cange; and many loving family members and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time.
